You could say I've always had a flair for fashion, but then you'd be lying. In fact, that does my parents a disservice; they dressed me very nattily when I wasn't quite the 6'5 guy I am now, but my teenage years evidenced I'd learned very little from them. As I grew up, I grew awkward(ly).
Always a tall, skinny lad I fell into the trap of thinking that to buy tall, you have to buy large, and now when I look back on pictures from those years I can scarcely believe how baggy the clothes were. Now, no one should be held accountable for the sixteen year-old self's sense of style, but mercifully things have come a long way since then.
In my early twenties I started to develop a bit more of a taste for the clothes I was wearing, and a bit more of an idea of how they should fit. I don't profess to be an expert in the field, I hold no formal fashion qualifications, but over the years I've managed to cultivate a good sense of what works for me and what doesn't, and with that, a good wardrobe too.
Six Foot Fashion is my attempt to share a little bit of what I've learnt in the hope that I can help even the tallest of men reach new heights.
Six Foot Fashion was created with the taller man in mind, what he wears, and where he buys.
At 6'5 I've always found it that little bit harder to find the right items at the right size (and the right price) when out shopping on the high street. Certain stores wax and wane in the cut of their seasonal fits, while, as fashion comes and goes, once reliable shops alter their sizes to keep up with the times, leaving you left without your go-to establishments.
The idea behind Six Foot Fashion is to give you a place to go to find ideas, inspiration, and information on what to wear and where to get it. As well as posting my own outfits, you'll also find reviews of high street stores, their quality, and how their different fits compare in our On The Height Street section.
